Jane SpokenWord Grenier, is a poet, writer, workshop facilitator, author of Tragically Hip, Word Against the Machine and soon to be published Love & Light poems to my friend Chrissie Amplett and Poetic Memories for the Maestor poems and collage postcards to my Cecil Taylor. Her works have appeared in New Generation Beats, Beat Generation Evolution, Beat Generation, We are Beat, Pandemic of Violence, Moonstone Art Center Protest 2021, TV Baby, Estrellas En El Fuego, Shadow of the Geode, Palabras Luminosas, Arteidolia Press and many other publications. She has featured at The NYC Poetry Festival at Governor's Island, The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Bowery Poetry Club, New Orleans Music & Words, The Whitney Museum, The Lizard Lounge and many other locations. Her collection of poetic postcards with commissioned poems are available on her website, and her spoken word cd's are available on Amazon.
She has been writing and performing for over 30 years, she has been published in various magazines, anthologies, and websites, as well as winning awards including "Best of All About Jazz" 2016 with the Avant-Garde Maestro Cecil Taylor at the Whitney Museum.
She hosts a series of "Spoken Word & Poetry" workshops; in person and zoomed online.

I was busking poetry with my bass player 'Albey onBass' in Jackson Sq. when I was approached by a newlywed couple on their honeymoon. They asked if I could perform a love poem for them. I free-styled a short piece on the fly and offered to write a custom poem to celebrate their love and rememer their time in New Orleans. That was the beginning or receiving requests for personalized poems for various functions; birthday parties, weddings, formal announcements, remembrance services, frienships, lovers, and yes a few "poison pen" request for break-ups!
